Brief History

My name is Sal Monteforte and I am the webmaster of this site. I have created this site in an effort to honor some very special people in my life: my wife, my parents, grandparents, and children.

My parents came to this country in 1966 and brought with them a love for life, happiness and family that is only found in the traditional Italian home. top of page

Adriana
My mother's name is Adriana, and this is a picture of her when she was 21 years old. She has always been a loving wife and mother who loves to spoil her family with the wonders of Italian cooking. She has a very giving personality and can always be counted on to bring a smile to your face. As you can see from the photo, she is a very beautiful woman. top of page

Vincenzo
My father's name is Vincenzo, and this is a picture of him when he was 22 years old. He has always been a very solid family man. He has instilled a strong sense of honor, compassion and loyalty to his offspring. He is very much admired by all who know him. top of page

Nonna Egizia
My grandmother's name is Egizia. She was my mother's mom. This is a picture of her when she was 20 years old. top of page

Nonno Pietro
My grandfather's name is Pietro. He is my mother's dad. He was a man full of life and laughter. He always made people laugh and was the first to see the funny side of life. This is a picture of him when he was 26 years old. He had six children, four boys and two girls. His influence on the entire family was the value of hard work and still having a good time. top of page

Nonna Mimma
My grandmother's name is Giroloma. She was my father's mom. Everyone called her Mimma. This is a picture of her when she was 18 years old. She was one of the best cooks ever. It was always a treat for us grandchildren to go to her house. top of page

Nonno Salvatore
My grandfather's name is Salvatore. He is my father's dad. I am named after him. This is a picture of him when he was 55 years old. He was an old-fashioned type of guy with old-fashioned principles. He was an All-city Greco-Roman wrestling champion. He had four children, three girls and one boy. top of page

Taylor
My daughter's name is Taylor. This is a picture of her when she was 11 years old. Her birthday is on June 12.
